We have been busy making Poppy's learning about the history of our Anzacs solders and where they came from in Hawke's bay. We were Luky enough to have Nicole, a solider from the Linton, come and speak to our school about being a solider and about what being part of ANZAC day means for a solider today. We will be having our own fields of remember service at school on Tuesday at 11am.
I am really impressed with the knowledge our kids seem to have of the ANZACs, Gallipoli, and the whole thing really - much more than I ever did when I was a kid. Great work by Mrs Hutchins. Fantastic to see St Mary's kids at the dawn parade in Hastings.
